Dried Almond Leaves are anti fungal and anti bacterial in nature. They are beneficial for Aquarium and Pot Base of plants. Detailed description is mentioned below-
For Aquariums (Fish):
Water Conditioning: Release tannins, humic and fulvic acids to lower pH and hardness, ideal for soft water species.
Health & Healing: Antibacterial and antifungal compounds help fight infections (like fin rot) and parasites, boosting immunity.
Natural Habitat: Mimic blackwater environments, reducing stress and aggression in fish like bettas, discus, and tetras.
Breeding Aid: Trigger spawning and create ideal conditions for fry, while decomposing leaves provide food (biofilm) for baby fish and shrimp.
Ammonia Control: Hydrogen ions released can convert toxic ammonia to less toxic ammonium, especially at lower pH.
For potted plants:
These Almond leaves are also helpful in maintaining lower ph level of soil. We should place these leaves to cover drainage holes at bottom portion of pots. They will prevent washing away of pot soil. Moreover, they will protect root zone of plants from fungal and bacterial attack.
