The plant has air purifying qualities for the indoor environment and is able to remove Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene and Xylene from living space. This plant can attain height of 3 feet.

The best part of this plant is that it can withstand with all kind of weather adversity. We recommend this plant for those who are beginner in gardening. The plant can survive low humidity levels (upto 25 %) and higher temperature (upto 33⁰ C) very easily. Even if some leaves of the plant get damaged due to any reason, we should prune that part, so that new growth may take place. It is suggested that if we have kept it indoor with low sunlight and without proper ventilation, we must keep outside in diffused sunlight for minimum 1 day. It will ensure its better health. This plant can survive without water for 3 weeks.

Watering & Sunlight:  This plant prefers to grow well in diffused sunlight. We should water, only when the soil becomes dry. Proper drainage by making sufficient holes in bottom of pot is must. Its roots and base of leaves store water. Hence, it does not like overwatering. Its roots may rot due to overwatering.

Soil:     Its potting mix must be aerated well by use of drainage media upto 20 % (river sand, Leca, Pumice/Perlite or rice husk- Use any one of them). All these items help in aeration also. We can mix upto 30% cocopeat and 50 % (mix of vermi compost + sterilised garden soil + 5% Neem Cake) in its potting mix. This plant does not require frequent fertilizers. We may add fertlizers once in six months.
