This plant blooms flowers of Yellow, White, Deep Pink, orange, Red (As per variety) during winter season. Sunlight availability for maximum time is must for more blooming. After blooming season, we can preserve its dried flowers for sowing in rainy season. We can pinch this plant before blooming season, to make the plant dense. We should stop pinching at least six weeks before winter, so that buds may develop properly.
Watering & Sunlight: This plant grows most healthily in presence of maximum sunlight. We should water, only when the soil becomes dry. Proper drainage by making sufficient holes in bottom of pot is must.
Soil: Presence of excess fertiliser may adversely affect this plant. Do not add more than 20% compost in its potting mix. Drainage in pot is necessary by making sufficient holes in bottom. To make the ideal potting mix, 20 % drainage media (river sand/ Leca/ Perlite/ Pumice or rice husk- use any one of them) in potting mix must be available.
Uses: Ornamental use.
