If we analyse chemically, Burnt Rice Husk is very rich in silica and potassium. Both of these are considered highly suitable for plants' soil. Hence, we can mix it with soil.
This Silica rich media is always recommended for healthy growth of plants, especially succulents, cactii, Adenium, Sansevieria, Bonsai etc.
It also provides more moisture and nutrient retention. Consequently, healthy root development is observed with use of burnt rice husk.
It also absorbs atmospheric odors and helps in air purification. Hence, its use with indoor plants enhances its utility further.
It helps in growth of the healthy root system by more porosity and roots aeration.
This is fully sterile media and helps to prevent the spread of nematodes, other pests and disease. It acts as an organic guard to protect your plants.
pH value of this media is neutral.
If we burn rice husk at high temperature, it becomes whitish ash and that white powdery ash is not useful for plants. Hence, we burn our rice husk at low temperature, to maintain its carbon content.
There may be 2-3 % soil or any other foreign objects in this product.
