2. This looks like Pumice, but this is not Pumice. This media is made by alkaline natural stone and it is highly suitable as replacement of Perlite or any other drainage media. Feather lite is more porous than Pumice. Its porosity can be seen by your naked eyes as well and thereby ensure proper drainage in soil.
3. It’s Ph value is 9 which shows that It’s alkaline in nature. If you are searching for alkaline soil media, this is the best media.
4. Feather lite is harder than Pumice and Perlite. It floats on water surface.
5 . Feather lite is lighter than Pumice and heavier than Perlite. Bulk density of feather lite is 300 Kg/m3.
6. You can use it for mulching (top soil layer) also. Mulching of Pumice does not attract fungus or insects.
7 They retain moisture partially.
