This is perennial plant. The plant is grown commercially in South India and sold to pharmaceutical companies for use as medicine. During hot weather also, this plant can tolerate sun & heat. More watering during cold weather may damage the plant. This plant can attain maximum height of 3 feet.
Watering & Sunlight: It can survive without water for a longer time. We should water it if soil has become fully dry. Drainage in pot is necessary by making sufficient holes in bottom. To make the ideal potting mix, 20 % drainage media (river sand/ Leca/ Perlite/ Pumice or rice husk- use any one of them) in potting mix should be available. In rest of the potting mix, we should mix vermicompost (20 %) and garden soil. During extreme cold, reduce watering frequency. The plant can grow in diffused sunlight also.
